Legacy Modernization: VB6 to .NET MAUI
The challenge
An industrial company ran its production management on a VB6 application written two decades ago. It only worked on old Windows machines kept alive for that purpose, the original developer was long gone, and adding features had become impossible. Hardware failure was a business-continuity risk.
The solution
We audited the legacy code, recovered the business rules, and migrated the system to .NET MAUI with C# and SQL Server — module by module, running in parallel with the old system until each piece was verified by the users themselves. Historical data was migrated with integrity checks. The result is a modern, responsive application the team can run on current hardware and any developer can maintain.
